Upon further review, it is equally plausible that in fact someone sped away from my house. There are two glaring pieces of evidence to support the "sped" away theory. 1) Only two tire marks are visible. Cars have four tires and brakes. Any skid of length would have four visible skids from emergency braking. 2) A skid's heaviest, darkest point (Thanks Marv) would be at the beginning and not the end. As the vehicle is slowed, less rubber is left on the pavement; thus, if the vehicle were speeding toward the house, the skid would be lighter as it neared the curb.
