It's a Bad Day

At least it doesn't smell like transmission oil. Instead, you're looking at evidence of a burst rear main seal. While I had my baby in the shop I had them replace the clutch. $500 later, the Eracer is back on the road. What a mess to clean up in the garage though!?!

Different View

Same bloody footprints, but from a different view, you can see my dog's footprints. Notice how much smaller my dog's prints are by comparison. I didn't think we had wolves and although I've heard of mountain lions in the area, these prints look canine to me.

Strangers in the Night

Coyote? Or Vicious Stray Dog? You decide. Here are some footprints I found on my front porch this morning. You can see my doormat. Possibly the dog cut his/her paws on something hard or sharp digging out of its yard.

No Pic: I've never been much for wine tasting, but we sampled some great wines on the Temecula Wine Country Miata Run. Saturday, September 17.

Awesome vistas through the DeLuz Canyon. Even if you don't have a Miata, you ought to drive the route just to check out some great views.

Additionally, if you lived here, southern Riverside County, why would you need to visit Napa when you have some really great wineries right here in Temecula? Not to be missed is the Almond Champagne at Wilson Creek. Yummy! Too bad we couldn't stay for the Jazz festival.

I don't recommend drinking and driving, so take your time between wineries or have a designated driver. Either way, I had a perfect day of top-down driving and followed up with some great wine.
